I tried to post this yesterday but it hasn't appeared, so I'll try again.
This Summer I found this really useful weather/wind forecast site, it is
http://www.xcweather.co.uk/GB/forecast

Hi David,
It looks good, but do you know how accurate it is? I have used the Met Office pages, which presumably are based on the best collected data, and they are so inaccurate that I have almost given up in despair. Their predictions for 5 days ahead, then 4, then 3 and so on just change almost at random. In the end, I find that the regional general synopsis is the most useful, because it is so vague, followed by a look on the Poole webcam http://www.pooleharbourweather.com/webcam.aspx and the Poole Yacht club weather station http://www.pooleyc.co.uk/cms/index.asp?dir=101&Page=Live+Weather . The only real use of the Met office local forecast is the negative one, i.e. if they say it will be bad it will probably be good. Or am I just an old cynic?

Hi Julian
The web site does have a rather disconcerting disclaimer in its blurb, I suppose its necessary these days, however I checked it for Trefor, the nearest reference to Nefyn this Summer and it was spot on for a period of 4 weeks.
There is another site of interest which shows the forcasted track of the jet stream, which is of interest in assessing where the Low Pressure areas will track.
It is www.metcheck.com/v40/UK/FREE/jetstream.asp
