Hi All,

We're Roger and Suzy, new owners of Jenyatan, Colin and Jayne Firth's boat before us. We got her in late 2016 but bad health struck and she's been laid up since.

With on operation scheduled for the end of Feb, we're looking forward to recovery and the opportunity to sail in 2018.

Anyone organising anything later in the year? Any meets or raids bring attended?

Failing that, how about organising one of our own?

Best,

Roger.

P. S. Hi to the Firths if still reading.

Cockle

Hi everyone,

Markie will be visiting the Broads in 2 weeks time launching on Monday 7th May at Swallowtail boatyard, Womack Water, Ludham and probably making our way up the Ant before returning to Hickling and Horsey later in the week.

Where abouts on the Bure are you Graham & Melanie?

David

Cockle

Hi David

'Cockle is moored in a dyke just round the corner from Womack water at Bureside/Oby Dyke so would be easy for us to meet up and perhaps tag allong for a day sometime on your way up to Barton or back if you would like some 'Winkle Brig' company!

Hi Graham & Melanie,

Meeting up would be great, it has been quite a few years since we sailed in company with another WB.
For starters we will be arriving at Swallowtail early afternoon on Monday 7th  May and depending on how quickly we rig and launch, we will either nip round to Hunters for the night, or possibly make our way towards Ludham Bridge.  We will be meeting up at some point with Roger & Cynthia Parish, former owners of 'Partan', they could be on their Freeman 22 motor cruiser.

Will make contact nearer the time.

Cheers

David

Gwilym

Constance owned by us, Eva and Gwilym, is now kept on the Deben where it appears there are at least two others.

Its a lovely River to sail on and there is a slip at Martlesham Creek boatyard. Always happy to hear from anyone sailing on this most delightful of East Coast Rivers.
