The main thoughts are for a simple rig with less ropes - just one thick halyard needed to hoist & lower the sail.
The boom & top yard spars are set on port side of the mast, and when tacking or gybing the spars stay on the port side.
I'm using a new 80mm diameter marine alloy anodized light mast of 16 feet.
Standing rigging will be flexible stainless with a running fore stay on a short bow sprit with rope lashings .
The tabernacle is made higher at 2 feet .
Reefing is kept simple with sail reefing lines.
Sail area is 154sqft .
