The Rig / Bobstay

The Bobstay on Holly is wire 5mm it has frayed I was thinking of replacing with 6mm stainless or Galv chain and 5 mm rope lanyard to secure to bowsprit. It might be safer that a wire slicing the mooring pontoon and the people on it Has anyone done this is there any downside.?

Hi Ross, I have been thinking of a trip to the broads since I brought holly earlier this year. Your article has inspired me to make the effort . If you are planning a trip back next year perhaps let me know and we could have at least 2 winkle Briggs on the broads together. the car park you mention do you think overnight camping in a vw would be allowed or sleep in the boat on the trailer ? Hi all
As a new winkle brig owner I think it only proper that I come down the broads a right of passage perhaps. I will be arriving Friday lunch and leaving mid day Sunday not sure which weekend yet. Can some one advise the best place to launch ideally a suitable place to park securely my trailer and vw camper. What would be a good explore for the Saturday and a riverside pub overnight for the two nights Are there any weekends that are better than others events etc. All advice gladly received regards matt

I have acquired wb63 which hasn't come with any details of how to rig her. Has anyone got a copy of some original instructions or could do me a diagram
