Title: Boatyard Schlick - Lembruch/Germany
Post by: VROUW KIRSTEN on April 29, 2020, 04:36:42 PM
Hello, Winkle-Brigger,

I know that most of the boats are in Great Britain but as a hint for the boats based in Holland and Germany here is the link to my favourite boat builder. Jens Schlick is a qualified boat builder and has a special knack for the needs of sailing boats, made of wood or GRP. He works very precisely and attaches great importance to a perfect end result.

Jens did the following work on my WB 120:

- Making a new oak bulwark.
- Manufacture of oak seat coverings
- Making a new tree from oak
- Manufacturing of mast and gaff from Spruce
- Making a new tiller from oak

In autumn 2020 we will jointly sand down the entire underwater hull at his small shipyard and build a completely new paint structure.

In addition to boat building, the Schlick family offers moorings for boats on the Dümmer, (including crane facilities), sailing boat rentals, very nice holiday apartments and gastronomy.
